There is a Resident Manager responsible for the running of Harehill Court who works Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. The Manager, assisted by tenancy support officers who work daily between 8.30am and 4.30pm, ensure the wellbeing of the tenants, serve the mid-day meal and facilitate activities. The Association also employs part-time cooks, kitchen assistants and cleaning staff.
The Association also employs a part-time Finance Manager who deals with all aspects of the finances of the Association and a part-time Association Secretary who supports the Board of Management and deals with the legal, regulatory and statutory work of the Association.
The weekly amount you pay to the Association is made up of:
• Rent – for your flat
• Service Charge –which includes heating, hot water & water usage
• Support Charge (pays for part of the cost of the resident Manager, Tenancy Support Team and the alarm service)
• Meal Charge – which covers a meal 365 days a year
You may be able to claim some financial help to pay for some elements of these charges. For example: Housing Benefit from Chesterfield Borough Council. Our staff can help you with this. It is dependent on your income and savings levels.
You can also get advice and the forms from: Chesterfield Borough Council, Housing Benefits Section, Revenues Hall, New Square, Chesterfield, S40 1AH. Tel: 01246 345484.
Everyone is entitled to a financial assessment from Derbyshire County Council to see if you qualify for help with the support charge.
